Friedrich Nietzsche
The “Slaughtered Animals Series” explores the intersection between the commercial slaughter of animals and the destruction of nations and their people for the sake of domination. The images within this series serve as metaphors for brutal political maneuvers, ruthless economic agendas, conniving ideologies, and hollow religious doctrines and convictions. Different cultures depict death and war in diverse ways; while some expose the grim reality, others package these horrors to desensitize and manipulate public opinion. Both war and slaughter of animals are, in a sense, marketed to the masses.
